Asked: How
do you stay energized between sessions?
Here
is what you told us...
I give
myself a 30-minute break between sessions. That
gives me enough time to change the sheets, drink some water, wash
my hands and do some stretches. Sometimes I go outside to the courtyard
and sit in front of our fountain just to breathe in the fresh air.

I stay focused and enthusiastic about
the client I just helped and the one I'm going to help next. Attitude
and attention are everything, and by keeping my mind on my clients,
rather than on any outside distraction, I stay excited about what
I'm doing, which gives me all the energy I need.

I often remind myself of a simple thought:
If you are fortunate enough to do what you love, it should never
be considered a job or work, but simply your passion.

I work in a physical therapy clinic,
specializing in auto accident/whiplash rehabilitation. I may work
on up to 40 people in a 12-hour shift. These are highly energetic
massages given in 15- to -30-minute intervals. I find eating the
proper foods throughout the day, balanced with a high water intake,
gives me the boost I need.
Gabe Brunelli

I allow at least one-half hour between
sessions. During that time, I stretch, meditate, rest my eyes and
drink a glass of water. Strumming the guitar, walking around the
block and inspirational reading are additional ways I re-energize
before my next client arrives.

Nothing revitalizes me better between
appointments than to luxuriate in a tub of natural mineral water
at a temperature of about 94 degrees.

I use affirmations, such as, "I
am still without and still within. My breathing is quiet and regular.
I am at rest. I have a strong connection with the earth, I feel
her vibration, hear her sounds, resonate with her being." Another
one is, "I am aware of my magnificent body. My body is relaxed,
full of wisdom and perfection. My bones are aligned perfectly with
each other, giving my body firm support. My muscles are softly relaxed,
full of grace and strength. My organs function perfectly, always
contributing to my health, vitality and exuberance. My breath breathes
deeply, fully, continuously purifying my body. My energy flows,
warm, liquid, transparent, steady, continually healing my body."

I use the mini-trampoline I keep at
my office. Fifteen minutes of rebounding can energize not only your
body, but also your lymphatic system.
