Self-Care tip of the week

Reduce Tension in Your Metacarpals

1. Place your left arm on the massage table. Place the heel of your right hand over the lateral portion of your left thumb’s metacarpal bone.

2. Place the pads of the fingers of your right hand over the medial side of your left hand.

3. Apply firm pressure with the pads of your fingers and with the heel of your right hand to compress your left hand. Hold the compression for three to five seconds and release. Repeat the compression two to three times as desired. Reverse your hand and body positions and repeat the procedure on your right hand.
