Self-Care tip of the week

Antioxidant power!

The benefit of a diet rich in antioxidant fruits and vegetables is well known. Antioxidants found in these foods help deactivate free radicals that form in the body and that can damage cells and lead to disease.

Now a new review, published in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, pinpoints the top performing antioxidant foods. They include: blackberries, walnuts, strawberries, artichokes, cranberries, brewed coffee, raspberries, pecans, blueberries, cloves, grape juice, unsweetened baking chocolate, sour cherries and red wine.
