FCA names LMT of the year

Florida massage therapist Maureen Gilbert was presented with the Florida Chiropractor’s Association (FCA) 2006 LMT of the Year award in August at the FCA’s national convention.

Gilbert is a massage therapist in Melbourne Beach, Florida, and is the president of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association.

“The FCA values the massage profession and especially enjoys our strong relationship with the FSMTA,” said Debbie Brown, CEO of the FCA. “Maureen Gilbert is an outstanding leader and very deserving of this recognition by the FCA.”

“It is a distinct honor to receive this award and I treasure the friendship the massage and chiropractic professions have shared,” Gilbert said, speaking at the FCA board of directors reception. Such cooperation and interaction benefits both professions, and I known it will continue in the future.”

The award was created in 1997 to honor massage therapists who perform outstanding service to the massage and chiropractic professions in Florida, and in their communities.
