Chiropractic institution branches into massage

Parker College, a 25-year old chiropractic college based in Dallas, Texas, has announced plans to open Parker College School of Massage Therapy in January 2007. The new massage school will be located on site at the renovated Parker College campus.

The 600-hour massage-therapy program includes more than 300 hours of clinical and hands-on training, including gross anatomy labs and the observation of human cadavers and interaction with Parker College chiropractic instructors.

Students in the program will be eligible to test for the Texas massage-therapy license and sit for the National Certification Examination in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
