Scholarship deadline nears
A national complementary health-care benefits
organization offers $41,000 a year in scholarships to students of
complementary health care, including massage therapy. Applications
for the 2006 scholarship must be received or postmarked by July
5, 2006.
American Specialty Health provides health-benefit
programs to health plans, insurance carriers and employer groups,
and maintains a provider network of 30,000 complementary health-care
professionals.
In addition to scholarships for students studying
acupuncture, chiropractic, dietetics and naturopathy, two $1,000
awards will be presented in the area of massage therapy.
