Baby Massage Extravaganza
Three hundred babies received infant massage from their parents during the World’s Largest Baby Butter Massage event held during the 2007 American Baby Faire in Dallas, Texas, in April.
Palmer’s, a manufacturer of cocoa-butter lotion, hosted the event, which was led by infant-massage experts. The event kicked off a national campaign by Palmer’s to promote awareness of infant massage.
“Studies have shown that incorporating touch between parent and baby into the early part of life proves invaluable in creating a lasting connection necessary for a child’s healthy development,” a Palmer’s press release stated. “With more than 60 percent of working moms wishing they had more time to spend with children, this activity is an invaluable way to interact [with] and engage baby.” |
