Chiropractors Earn More with Massage
Massage therapists who want to work in a chiropractor’s office have a new selling point: Chiropractors with at least one massage therapist on staff bring more revenue into their practices.
In Chiropractic Economics’ annual salary and expense survey, 256 respondents reported employing at least one massage therapist, while 318 did not have a massage therapist on staff. In all cases, practices with a massage therapist on staff experienced higher averages than practices without a massage therapist.
The median net practice income of chiropractors who employ a massage therapist is $100,000, compared to the $80,000 practice income for chiropractors who do not employ a massage therapist.
