Student Scholarship Launched
To promote the use of Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy, Neurosomatic Educators Continuing Education Company of Clearwater, Florida, has created a scholarship for students of the therapy.
Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy targets pain by finding and addressing improper structural and biomechanical patterns in the client’s body.
The company announced the winners of the first annual Paul St. John Scholarship Contest in July. St. John developed the St. John Method of Neuromuscular Therapy and Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy, which is based on posturology and neuromuscular therapy.
Three prizes were awarded: one full somatic and neurosomatic certification scholarship and two level-one somatic certification scholarships.
Submissions for the essay-based contest came from various areas in the United States. Winners were chosen based on the expression of their understanding of and the need for Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy in the field of massage therapy.
The winner of the full somatic and neurosomatic certification scholarship is Amber Moorefield of St. Petersburg, Florida. Winners of the level-one somatic certification scholarships are Michael Davis of Addison, Michigan, and Monica Green of St. Charles, Illinois.
