MT Foundation Announces 2007
Community Service Grant Recipients
The Massage Therapy Foundation recently announced the recipients of their 2007 Community Service Grants. Since 1993, the foundation has been awarding these grants to organizations that “seek to provide massage therapy to communities or groups who currently have little or no access to such services.”
The program is aimed at promoting working partnerships between the massage profession and community-based organizations. The grants are awarded for a 12-month period and run from $500 to $5000. The 2007 recipients include the following individuals and organizations:
• Mary Fabri, Heartland Alliance for Human Needs and Human Rights, “Massage Therapy for Torture Survivors,” $4,620
• Kathryn Greschner, Cornerstone Ministries, Inc., “Ventures in Therapeutic Massage for Developmentally Disabled Adults,” $4,890

• Cynthia Price, Alternative Healthcare Access Campaign, “Bodywork for the Homeless,” $5,000
• Leah Prussia, White Earth Land Recovery Project, “Mino-Ayaan: Be Well Community Health Project,” $5,000
• Ann Charles-Craft, Virginia Commonwealth University, “Massage Therapy for Post-Operative Gynecology and Gynecology-Oncology Patients,” $5,000
