Massage therapy is one of the services offered to patients at The Cancer Support Center, which just opened in Arizona.

According to an article in the Tri Valley Dispatch newspaper, the center will offer massage therapy, yoga, speakers, cooking classes, support groups and other services and information.

"What is and what will be taking place at the support center is what Dr. Ajay Bhatnagar, board certified radiation oncologist, refers to as integrated oncology medicine," the article stated.

"'There's increasing evidence

that cancer patients can have an improved outcome when making lifestyle modifications,' he said, 'including changes in diet, exercise and support. This center was developed with those things in mind to help our patients while they are undergoing their prescribed treatments in our cancer treatment center. That's one of the major aspects of this support center.'"
