LAKE OZARK, MO – ISPA board member Ann Brown is scheduled to speak at the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) 2010 National Convention, scheduled for Sept. 22 through 25 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minnesota. Brown will present on demystifying the benefits of spa and spa treatments. Her presentation will cover the benefits of hot and cold compress applications and principles of hydrotherapy and thermalism. The workshop will also include a hands-on review of thalassotherapy.

The AMTA National Convention will offer more than 20 hours of continuing massage education and workshops. With more than 50 chapters nationwide, AMTA is the largest nonprofit association serving massage students, massage schools and massage therapists. The volunteer-led AMTA strives to set professional ethics and standards while promoting licensing massage therapists in all states and the public education on the benefits of massage.
