Free Massage Classes Offered by Cortiva

As a massage therapist, you will most likely need to continue your education even after you graduate. A massage-education company with campuses nationwide now offers free workshops to all credentialed massage therapists.

“It’s a way of us giving back to the community,” said Cortiva Chairman and CEO Alan Clingman. “We’re trying to sort of raise standards and spread education.”

The classes are:

“Correcting Low Back Pain,” presented by Robert K. King, founder of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy;

“The Basics of Pregnancy Massage,” presented by pregnancy-massage specialist Michelle Kolakowski;

“Clinical Massage for Athletics,” presented by Brenneke School of Massage Sports Program Director Pat Archer; and

“Creating Relationships that Work: Ethics and Communication in Private Practice,” presented by Ben Benjamin, founder of the Muscular Therapy Institute.
