Create an Automobile University
As a director and instructor of massage therapy, I have seen many students experience struggles in school. Evolving into a massage therapist who understands the body and its functions, has mastered technique and provides excellent customer service requires confidence and motivation.
Motivational tapes and CDs can help. I encourage my students to create an “automobile university” in their cars as they drive to and from school. If they walk or take public transportation, they can use a Walkman or Ipod. Choose titles that inspire you to believe in yourself and stay positive when everyone and everything seems to be working against you.
Juggling work, school, family and your own needs takes energy and perseverance. Being confident and motivated is the key to success in the classroom, in your practice and in your personal life. Use your commute to get a motivational boost.
