We have compiled a short list of scholarships
that you may qualify for your bodywork education.
1. Talbot's
clothing retailer offers 50 scholarships of $1,000 each to women
who earned their high school diploma or G.E.D. at least 10 years
ago and who are now seeking a vocational/technical degree.
2. Most utility companies give back
to their community with scholarships for students attending regional
higher education institutions. For example, Avista
Corporation, the public utility in Spokane, Washington
offers more than 40 scholarships each year totaling $50,000 to students
entering or enrolled in a select field of study at one of the regional
higher education institutions. Check with your local public utility
to see what scholarships might be available to you.
3. Credit unions tend to offer scholarships
to their members. Washington
State Employees Credit Union offers seven scholarships for
$900 to student members enrolled in a two-year or vocational school.
