Massage & Bodywork Scholarships

There are 5 scholarships that are for students of massage and bodywork.

1 American Specialty Health offers 12 scholarships for students pursuing careers in various aspects of complementary health and is open to students of massage therapy. For directions on how to apply and to download the application visit their Web site.

2 AMTA Foundation also has a scholarship grant program, but they are in the process of revising their program to resemble a research education contest. Details on AMTA's scholarship program will be available in Spring 2004.

3 MASSAGE Magazine is reworking it's scholarship program. We will announce the 2007 scholarship in April 2007.

4 Bastyr University offers three $1,500 scholarships to students attending Bastyr and seeking a degree in one of the three degrees: 

• Bachelor of Science in Natural Health Sciences, Major in Exercise Science and Wellness
• Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine
• Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

5 The Spa Foundation offers scholarships in amounts up to $9,000 to individuals who are seeking a career in the spa arena. The number of scholarships offered and the amount of each scholarship is all dependent on donations to the foundation. The Spa Foundation is continuously accepting applications.
