COSTA MESA, CA–(Marketwire – June 11, 2008) – California Academy for the Healing Arts (CAHA), recognized as one of California’s premier holistic education schools, is celebrating its fifth year teaching the techniques and expertise for professions in Bodywork and Holistic Healing. CAHA trains professional therapists in Massage, Energywork, Reiki and Reflexology, as well as providing Registered Continuing Education classes for professionals and courses for people new to the holistic health field.

CAHA is an approved professional vocational school (as of the sunset of the BPPVE in July, 2007) and also a California Board of Registered Nursing Continuing Education Provider. It is Southern California’s only state-approved vocational Reiki Master Teacher vocational institution.

CAHA was founded by licensed and certified Holistic Health Practitioner Ariel Hubbard who has been a facilitator in the healing arts since 1992. A clairvoyant and clairaudient since childhood, Ariel’s healing and massage practice is completely customized to her clients’ needs and can incorporate transformational bodywork, massage, energy healing, hot stone therapy, crystal grid healing and hypnotherapy.

Ariel shares her expertise through her private massage and healing practice, instruction at CAHA and public speaking. Ariel also has published numerous articles and her books, “Come From the Heart — A Guidebook to Healing with Divine Energy, Parts I and II.”

“Holistic health has transformed my life, and similarly, transforms the lives of everyone who participates in this modality of health care from the practitioner to the client,” says Ariel. “The guests who receive treatments from CAHA-trained students have experienced pain relief and healing from long-term symptoms, as well as experiencing emotional well-being. Our graduates work in a field where they make a daily difference in the lives of the people they serve.”

CAHA is also serving the community with a highly desired profession with services that have never before been in such high demand. The Massage profession is currently an $11-18 billion industry annually, and is projected by the U.S. Department of Labor as one its fastest growing professions to continue to grow over the next seven years.

CAHA graduates have been placed at some of the finest massage establishments in Orange County, including Burke Williams and Massage Envy as well as working for chiropractors. They also go on to have successful and lucrative private practices in Therapeutic Massage and Energywork.

Nurses also receive Continuing Education at CAHA in Reflexology when they study CAHA’s 24-hour Board of Registered Nursing course.

CAHA students regularly provide volunteer treatments in Reiki, Reflexology and Therapeutic Massage for the Marines at Camp Pendleton, Working Wardrobes for Men, Epilepsy Alliance, two private dependency recovery centers for recovering alcoholics, The Golden State Athletic Conference Championships, and the Saddleback Memorial Hospital Half Marathon.

Ariel continues: “The uniqueness of CAHA is based on its foundation of Western and Eastern massage, holistic vibrational medicine, holistic business training, self-care courses and an emphasis on personal development. We teach our students to be excellent practitioners and also to be successful business people. High quality education is a must, because the way a practitioner learns to provide a treatment influences the way they practice for the rest of their professional life.”
