A Texas hospital is in the news for its decision to open an in-house medical spa.
Hendrick Medical Center, in Abilene, Texas, launched the Hendrick MedSpa in May, according to an article on reporternews.com, with a grand opening planned for June 14.
“The colors inside are light, exotic paintings cover the walls and everything seems to smell vaguely of lavender. In that sense, it’s just like any other spa on the market,” the article stated. “What sets the MedSpa apart, however, is the fact that it also offers noninvasive medical procedures …”
The spa offers massage therapy, pedicures, toenail-fungus treatment and laser hair removal, among other services.
