Massage therapists engage in consultations with clients to discuss their symptoms, medical history, and desired outcomes. They also offer recommendations on stretching, strengthening, relaxation techniques, and posture improvement. The goal of this massage therapy program is to gain experience working with diverse body types, massage therapists may participate in community events during their training, as well as complete a Clinical Internship that may require weekend and weekday availability.

The Odessa College Massage Therapy program is recognized by the NCBTMB, and FSMTB.

Admission Process

  • If you’re a first-time college student, you’ll need to submit an official high school transcript or equivalent.
  • Transfer students are required to provide official transcripts from all colleges or universities they have attended. If they intend to participate in an OC athletic team, they must also submit an official high school transcript with their graduation date.
  • Students under 22 years of age are required to provide evidence of having received a Bacterial Meningitis vaccination within the previous five years.
  • To determine the cost per credit, you must provide proof of residency.

Programs Details

This program spans 48 weeks and accommodates a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 students per class. The total cost of the program is $6,000, which includes textbooks, scrubs, and the MBLEx testing fee. A down payment of $1000 is required. The program comprises of 600 classroom/skills lab hours, 50 clinical internship hours, and an online component.
