The Arizona chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) donated $10,000 to the Massage Therapy Foundation last week.

“As is true of all members of the AMTA, the Arizona Chapter is a strong believer in massage therapy research,” said the chapter’s first vice president, Sandy Anderson. “We know that this is one of the best ways to move our profession forward in being recognized for the important and powerful work we do.”

The foundation’s mission is to advance the knowledge and practice of massage therapy by supporting scientific research, education and community service. The AMTA is a national membership organization with state chapters.
