Angela Reiter is an Arizona-licensed massage therapist, MT-12913, and NCBTMB Approved CE Provider, 1000144, of almost 30 years. She is the owner of Integrative Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork located in Phoenix, Arizona. She provides licensed massage therapy services for the public and continuing education for other licensed massage therapists and is proficient in modalities that are generally described as more science/ evidence based. Reiter has worked in many facets of the industry including salon/ spa, physical therapy and chiropractic, and management. Reiter is currently serving as chairperson of the Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy. In all of her roles she strives to educate her clients, other LMTs, legislators, state representatives and law enforcement about what massage therapy is, what it is not and why it is necessary to share this education for public safety and to gain respect not only in our own industry but also to be able to fully collaborate with other health-related industries and health professionals. Reiter was a lead instructor at the Chicago School of Massage Therapy/ Cortiva in Chicago, Illinois and again at Cortiva in Scottsdale, Arizona. She also served as Director of Education and Career Services Manager prior their closure. Reiter assisted in the development of the foundational curricula prior to Cortiva’s acquisitions. She can also be found yearly at the Maricopa StandDown event providing free, seated massages for at-risk military veterans. Reiter is active on social media, sharing educational information about the massage therapy industry and keeping LMTs and the public up to speed on industry related issues, state board updates, jurisdiction and state laws.
