Selena Belisle is the founder of CE Institute LLC, which teaches post-graduate continuing hour health care education for massage therapists, nurses, cosmetologists, physical and occupational therapists, plus others who are interested in learning opioid-free remedies and care. Belisle first learned and performed sports massage in the Athens Olympic Stadium in Athens, Greece, in 1989. In 1995 she learned traditional massage applications plus alternative modalities such as manual lymphatic drainage and lomilomi massage in the Massage Institute of New England's 1,000-plus-hour massage therapy certification program. She is certified in St. John Neuromuscular Therapy (1995-1999) and earned dual TCM certifications with The New England School of Acupuncture, Cambridge, Massachusetts (1995), and the Beijing Massage Hospital, Beijing, China (2001). She became a Certified Holistic Aromatherapist with The New England Center for Aromatherapy in 1996. She has also completed hundreds of additional bodywork CE classes as a reflexologist, Reiki master, prenatal, chair and hot stone massage therapist. In 2018, she won A HERO Award from Dana Farber "In recognition of extraordinary support of research and patient care ...". Her past work experience includes founding Massage Works Inc. which employed chiropractors, acupuncturists and over 40 massage therapists in three separate locations in Braintree, and Quincy, Massachusetts, from 1995 to 2005, and a Newbury Street Spa in Boston, Massachusetts, from 2006-2010. She has also worked for the Ritz Carlton and other prestigious establishments. Today, as a retired professional athlete, Belisle teaches the various modalities that she has learned and practiced from over the past three decades.
