Massage therapists may now order free samples of a popular analgesic to share with clients, and build a clientele at the same time.

“We wanted to take the Biofreeze sampling program to the next level and believe that social media is the best way to do that,” said Ethan Pochman, vice president, U.S. Clinical for Performance Health, which manufacturers Biofreeze. “With our new online sampling application, we accept consumer requests for free Biofreeze samples and provide those requests to practitioners in the consumer’s area. This creates an opportunity for the practitioner to introduce both Biofreeze and their practice to someone looking for pain relief; someone who may likely become a new patient or client.”

The practitioner is provided with the consumer’s name, phone number, mailing address and e-mail address. The practitioner then mails the free sample, which is customized with the practitioner’s contact information, along with information about her practice. The sample comes with an information card customized with the practitioner’s contact information. The practitioner pays the cost of shipping the material to the consumer: 46 cents, as long as the marketing material included in the envelope does not exceed the weight limit for first-class mail..
