A $5,000 donation made by BIOTONE, a spa-and-massage products company, will fund mammograms, biopsies and ultrasounds for women who cannot otherwise afford these services in an effort to detect the disease early to improve their health outcomes.

The donation was made to the Council of Community Clinics [CCC], which provides centralized support services to 16 member community-clinic and health-center organizations operating nearly 100 sites in San Diego, Imperial and Riverside Counties in California.

“CCC is providing an invaluable service to thousands of women who might otherwise not have access to important breast care services,” said Jean Shea, BIOTONE president, in a press release. “We are very pleased to support the organization in this effort. It’s just one of the ways we continue to support National Breast Cancer Awareness month.”
