SAN DIEGO, CA – Oct. 11, 2011 – BIOTONE continues the company’s long-standing corporate commitment to help end breast cancer through its pledge of $5,000 to the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. The special fundraising event takes place on Oct. 16 in San Diego, California’s Balboa Park.
The American Cancer Society calls Making Strides Against Breast Cancer not just a walk but a “powerful and inspiring event that unites communities to celebrate people who have battled cancer, to raise awareness about the disease and to raise money to find a cure.”
In announcing the company’s support for the American Cancer Society event, BIOTONE president and founder Jean Shea said, “Among the many causes we support, the fight against breast cancer has been paramount for us. Over the years, BIOTONE has sponsored important research about the value of massage to help fight cancer cells and raised money through promotions to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
