The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) is asking massage therapsits and others in the massage field to review the content of the organization’s exams.

“We would appreciate your help with advancing the profession by reviewing the content of NCBTMB’s exams—including the new Board Certification exam,” states an NCBTMB press release. “You will be able to comment on the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for competent performance by therapeutic massage and bodywork professionals.”

On March 14, MASSAGE Magazine reported the NCBTMB had announced that beginning with the first quarter of 2013, it will introduce a Board Certification credential and phase out the current National Certification credential.
