Massage therapists anywhere can honor John Upledger, D.O., creator of CranioSacral Therapy (CST), by observing a moment of silence on Dec. 15.
Upledger Institute International (UII) has announced a candlelight vigil and moment of silence for that day, at 5:30 p.m. EDT.
Dr. Upledger’s memorial service also takes place Dec. 15. The memorial service will be held at the Jupiter Beach Resort, in Jupiter, Florida, beginning at 2 p.m. The service will begin with a welcome gathering from 2 to 3 p.m., followed by a service from 3 to 6 p.m. After a personal to 11 p.m. UII staff requests that people planning to attend the event RSVP on the event’s Facebook page or call (561) 622-4334, in order to ensure adequate seating.
On the West Coast, a California massage therapist has organized an event in memory of Dr. Upledger for Dec. 15.
Katja Jones is planning to provide CST to veterans in Seal Beach, California, along with five other volunteer therapists.
“He had a soft spot for the veterans and I know that he would be pleased with us spreading the work this way,” wrote Jones on the events area of UII’s Facebook page.
