LAKE OZARK, Missouri (March 28, 2012):  The entire full-time staff from the local Citizens Against Domestic Violence/Victim Outreach Center enjoyed a spa day at Spa Shiki earlier this month as the Spa Shiki staff donated services to thank them for their service to the Lake of the Ozarks’ community. Spa Shiki estheticians treated CADV/VOC staff members to complimentary facials, and the staff also enjoyed treatments through gift certificates that Spa Shiki and guests donated during November and December. In February, Spa Shiki Director Ann Brown presented CADV/VOC with a check for $670, representing funds that the Lake of the Ozarks’ resort spa raised during the holiday season for the local non-profit organization. Spa Shiki donated $1 for every new like on their Facebook page from the end of November through mid-December, plus matched donations made by Spa Shiki guests as part of their holiday giving campaign.

“The staff at CADV works hard to serve those in need in the Lake of the Ozarks’ community,” says Brown. “Our Spa Shiki staff wanted to create a role reversal and take care of these caregivers, to say thanks and to encourage them to keep up the good work.”

Staff members from CADV/VOC who enjoyed a day at Spa Shiki included Heather Durbin, Outreach Coordinator; Angie Fiene, Executive Director; Jill Wade, Clinical Coordinator; Julie Harlan, Legal Program Coordinator; and Donna Szkubiel, Case Manager. CADV/VOC was established at the Lake of the Ozarks in 1985 to provide services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and provide crisis hotline, crisis intervention, emergency shelter, advocacy, support and counseling.
