Pollution is a basic fact of life. No one is immune to it. Although the human body is designed to cleanse itself naturally of the normal waste products of digestion and metabolism, it is clearly not equipped to deal with the additional toxic overload from chemical preservatives and pesticides, pharmaceutical drugs and artificial foods, and other sources of internal toxicity that have become common in modern lifestyles. This internal pollution is the major cause of disease, degeneration and foreshortened lifespan.

Use Celtic sea salt, which includes dozens of beneficial micro-minerals and trace elements contained in the bittern, to prepare a hot salt-water bath for detox purposes. The higher the salinity of the bath water, the stronger the power of osmosis that draws the toxins out through the skin.

3 lbs. Celtic sea salt
1 lb. magnesium chloride hexahydrate

Optional: Add a few drops of essential oil, such as grapefruit seed and peel, sage, rosemary or peppermint. Frankincense or lavender may be used instead if you feel nervous or uptight.

Fill the bathtub with hot water, add salt and magnesium, and soak for 30 minutes.
