Massage therapy franchisor joins more than 1800 fellow members of American Massage Therapy Association at organization’s 2009 conference.

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – Oct. 13, 2009 – National massage therapy franchisor, elements therapeutic massage, inc., attended the 2009 American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) conference in Orlando, Fla., held Sept. 23-26. As a member of the organization, they were invited to participate in educational workshops, association business meetings and tradeshow events, and learned about current research on the effectiveness of massage.

The following staff from elements therapeutic massage were in attendance: Kyle Gjersee, senior vice president of operations and chief operating officer, Michele Merhib, founder and studio owner, Stacy Nordby, support specialist, and Laurie Windler, director of franchise support.

“Attending the AMTA conference provided an opportunity for us to obtain valuable information and best practices to bring back and share with our network,” said Gjersee. “We are constantly seeking to expand our knowledge of the industry and provide our franchise owners with the most up-to-date information they can use in their studios.”

The elements team was among more than 1800 attendees, making the 2009 AMTA conference the largest ever for the organization. During the conference, attendees were able to meet with more than 90 companies offering professional information, products and services for massage therapists. Keynote speaker Tony Burroughs, co-founder of the “Intenders of the Highest Good,” explained how to daily set a direction for intentions to bring a greater level of success into a massage therapist’s practice and life.

Massage Magazine editor Karen Menehan interviewed Gjersee and Merhib at the conference to discuss the benefits and growth opportunities offered to elements therapeutic massage therapists.
