Energetic Eating: Tune into Your Food's Vibration, MASSAGE Magazine

You really are what you eat when it comes to the hidden energetic properties of food, says Elaine Seiler, author of the book Multi-Dimensional You: Exploring Energetic Evolution.

“We have been trained to choose our foods for their calorie count, taste, balance of types as well as their purity (organic, locally grown, no GMO etc.), but there is an additional factor that should not be ignored—their frequency,” she says.

Here are four tips for understanding the energetic properties of food for health and well-being.

1. Get in tune with what you eat: As everything and every being is made up of energy and each energy is of a different frequency—some high and fast, some low and slow—foods have different frequencies. Some are heavy and dense, of slow vibration, like beef and other meats; other foods like watermelon and papaya are light and their frequencies are faster.

2. Food/energy hint: If it contains a lot of water—fruits and green leafy vegetables, watermelon, oranges, lettuce, etc.—it is light and its vibration is fast, relatively speaking. If it is dense and heavy and if its cellular structure is compact and tight like an apple or pear, tofu, potato or a piece of bread, it is more than likely heavy and of a slow vibration.

3. Cravings aren’t always bad: Your body knows what is best for it at any given moment. It is not always best to eat the lightest foods available. It is always best to eat what your body tells you it needs. Let your intuition and taste buds guide you.

4. One proviso: If you are vastly overweight or extremely thin, your body may crave foods from habit that are not the best for you. In these cases, your mind must become engaged in the process of what is best for your health.
