Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation is an advanced form of flexibility training involving the stretching and contraction of the targeted muscle group. Originally developed for rehabilitation, it is also excellent for targeting specific muscles and various fibers within certain muscles to increase flexibility, range of motion (ROM) and improving muscular strength. In this workshop, participants will learn to perform isolated PNF for the entire body and help athletes and clients make quick gains in range of motion to reduce pain, help recover from injuries, improve performance and improve all around movement. By using this method, therapists not only gain tremendous improvement in their clients, but at the same time they can reduce the strains on their own body helping to preserve and extend their career. (This course is approved for New York massage therapy continuing education credits.)
