Beyond Trigger Point Seminars: Legs & Arms Unit provides a step-by-step protocol for relieving myofascial pain due to trigger points. Confidently treat pain and dysfunction using proven neuromuscular methodologies. Twelve muscles groups harboring trigger points in the extremities are mastered. Day One begins by addressing the challenges of treating clients with Myofascial Pain Syndromes. It ends by treating structural holding patterns down below which are affecting alignments up above. A leg and foot plagued with fascial imbalances and trigger points create all sorts of biomechanical havoc. The foot, leg and thigh are treated using an easy to apply trigger point release method. A treatment protocol using an ice and stretch technique is also practiced. Once years ago I saw Dr. Travell relieve a stiff neck from the time it took an elevator to drop from the top floor to the lobby using this technique. This is the easiest and quickest way to restore a muscle’s normal resting position. We’ll use an inexpensive cryostim. Once you learn the rationale, you can apply this method to any muscle. Day Two begins with a twelve-step exercise flow proven to reduce Carpal Tunnel Syndrome pain and improve grip strength. The trigger points in the arms and hands, especially common in massage therapists, are treated with a Five-Step treatment protocol. This Five-Step protocol can be applied to other body regions as well. Day 3 is for integrating your new knowledge into your practice; four new massage routines, trigger point locations, therapist’s body mechanics and self-care are expanded and reviewed.
