House Bill 49, which would allow the Board of Massage Therapy to issue temporary permits to unlicensed massage-school graduates, is on the Health & Human Services Access Subcommittee agenda scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, March 23, 1:00pm at House Office Building Room 12 in Tallahassee.

The Florida State Massage Therapy Association is urging massage professionals to call or email the members of the Health & Human Services Access Subcommittee and let them know that they oppose House Bill 49.

“If you are in the Tallahassee area and are able to attend the committee meeting tomorrow, please do so,” states the call to action. “We will have several FSMTA representatives there available to testify [and] the more people there to oppose this bill the bigger impact it will have on the subcommittee.”
