Woody Haiken, N.C.T.M.B., founder of The Growing Practice (www.thegrowingpractice.com), which specializes in helping massage therapists grow their businesses and themselves, is offering a free teleclass, “Building Credibility for Your Massage Practice,” Jan. 5 at 4 p.m. EST (1 p.m. Pacific time). Click here to register.

All things being equal, if you and one of your competitors had similar training and skills, a prospective client is going to go to the therapist that has a professional-looking logo, brochure, Web site and business card. There are certain minimums that must be met. This teleclass will instruct massage therapists on those minimums, and tell the most cost-effective way to meet them. A talk will be followed with a question-and-answer session.

Haiken will cover the standard credibility builders: Web sites, logos, business cards, e-mail addresses, testimonials and portraits, and how if these elements are done improperly, the therapist can actually detract from their credibility.

Three people will win one of three books: Get Clients Now!, Book Yourself Solid and e-Myth Revisited. There will be a random drawing, and you must be present to win. In addition, all attendees will receive a free Standard Credibility Builder evaluation. ??
