The Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) has issued an invitation to massage therapists to participate in its 2012 Job Task Analysis Survey.
“Massage, Bodywork and Somatic Therapists with all levels of experience are needed to provide a snapshot of practice,” a statement from the FSMTB reads. “Your participation will improve understanding of current professional practice and education. This will assist in guiding ongoing development of a fair and appropriate national licensing examination—the MBLEx [Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination]—that offers public protection and enhances professional standing. Your input adds to the integrity of the process and contributes to efforts leading to portability and reciprocity of licensure for therapists.”
The survey is open through July 21, and its results will be made public in the future.
