In “Tolerance,” the Guest Editorial in MASSAGE Magazine‘s October 2011 issue, Thomas Myers says the massage field will advance faster as a profession if its members can rise above petty differences to seek common causes in advancing the field.

“We need poets of massage to lead the way with new techniques, designers and appliers to bring them into practice, popularizers to disseminate them, and researchers to nail them down,” Myers writes. “Each step is an essential part of the process, and there is room in this world for all these roles to serve their functions without being invalidated.”
