In “We Must Embrace High-Quality Online Education,” the Guest Editorial in MASSAGE Magazine‘s July 2011 issue, Whitney Lowe states his opinion that the emergence of online education has produced the most significant change we have seen in delivery methods of education in more than two centuries.

“The crucial importance of this change should not be underestimated,” Lowe writes. “Yet, there still exists a strong bias against online education for some people in the massage profession. Both educators and students will find this medium faces the same challenges as traditionally delivered education, and that investigation into proposed courses is a wise use of time.”
