Palm Beach and Las Vegas play host to developer of innovative therapy technique for advanced seminar series
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL – July 17, 2012 – Osteopathy and physical therapy expert and founder of The Barral Institute, Jean-Pierre Barral, D.O., M.R.O.(F), R.P.T., will be visiting two U.S. cities this month to teach advanced seminars in manual therapy from July 21 through July 29, 2012. Barral will be accompanied by research partner Alain Croibier, D.O., M.R.O.(F), who will also be teaching advanced seminars.
The following courses will be included in the seminar series:
- Delray Beach, FL – July 21-23 – Delray Beach Marriott. New Manual Articular Approach; Upper Extremity (MAUE), taught by Jean-Pierre Barral. Brain and Cranial Nerve Manipulation (NM4), taught by Alain Croibier.
- Las Vegas, NV – July 27-29 – Flamingo Las Vegas. Visceral, Neural and Articular Advanced Clinical Synthesis (VNAC), taught by Jean-Pierre Barral. New Manual Articular Approach; Lower Extremity (MALE), taught by Alain Croibier
Barral is a registered physical therapist and diplomate of osteopathy, who serves as director (and faculty) of the Department of Osteopathic Manipulation at the University of Paris School of Medicine in Paris, France. He is also a member of the Registre des Ostéopathes de France. He earned his diploma in osteopathic medicine in 1974 from the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, England, and went on to teach spinal biomechanics at the institution from 1975 to 1982. He holds a diploma of the Faculty of Medicine of Paris North, an accomplishment held by very few osteopaths in the world.
Barral developed the modality of Visceral Manipulation based on his innovative theory that each internal organ rotates on a physiological axis. In collaboration with Croibier, Barral has also developed the modalities of Nerve Manipulation, New Manual Articular Approach and Visceral Vascular Manipulation based on their ongoing clinical research. TIME Magazine named Barral as one of the “Top Healing Innovators of the New Millennium” in 2001. He has authored numerous books for healthcare professionals and the general public.
Barral’s research partner and colleague, Croibier is a diplomate of osteopathy in France. He is a member of the Registre des Ostéopathes de France and a Member of the Academie d’Osteopathie de France. Croibier is a teacher for The Barral Institute, as well as the Osteopathic College, A.T. Still Academy, Lyon, France.
