Innovative new approach to spa experience will showcase Comphy custom linens for treatment rooms and retail

Spa by JW 2FERNDALE, Washington — Comphy Co. is pleased to announce their participation in Spa by JW, a new spa concept from JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts created to demystify and re-imagine the spa experience. Comphy will play an integral role in treatment room design at the first U.S. Spa by JW — the JW Marriott Houston Downtown, debuting in September, followed by the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar in December. JW Marriott has more than 20 Spa by JW’s in its global pipeline.

Spa by JW is driven by the JW Marriott brand ethos of making luxury less intimidating and more accessible.  Unlike typical luxury spa arrival areas, Spa by JW guests will be greeted at a circular Curator’s Desk to explore options from full-service to express spa treatments.  The new concept offers guests an intuitive experience that is luxurious, yet purposeful, with treatments and products designed to address four core benefit states: calm, indulge, invigorate and renew.

“Our guests are incredibly passionate about well-being, but they don’t always have the time to invest in cultivating it,” said Mitzi Gaskins, vice president and global brand manager for JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts. “They are looking for an experience that delivers true impact and results that are tailored to their state of mind.”

The beautifully appointed retail area is accessible via an open and inviting lounge space. Guests will be invited to browse products thoughtfully presented for interactive use, and the retail will feature both traditional and non-traditional spa products, such as Comphy sheets for home bedding. 

“We collaborated with Comphy Co. to help achieve a consistent look in our treatment rooms with custom-designed bed skirts, which hide unsightly cords,” Ryan said. “The microfiber sheet and skirt are white creating a seamless line. To give the treatment rooms a pop of personality, custom saddles were designed in unique patterns and styles. From urban to tropical, Comphy authentically captured the culture and style of each Spa by JW destination.”
