Paul Lewis, a massage therapist and educator, has announced the creation of public events to raise donations for Japan.

The money will go to the American Red Cross, which is providing relief efforts in the wake of a March 11 earthquake and tsunami and ensuing nuclear-power plant problems.

“I have partnered with friends, colleagues and companies to plan various events,” said Lewis in a press release. Over the next four months Lewis will organize fundraisers in Canada, Europe and the U.S., ranging from group fitness, hip hop and Zumba classes to Chairs for Charity events, where massage therapists will donate their time to offer massage sessions in exchange for donations.
