New website geared toward current and aspiring massage therapists

Scottsdale, Arizona – (December 18, 2008) – Massage Envy, the nation’s leading provider of therapeutic massage and largest employer of massage therapists, has launched a new career website (  Designed as a tool for those seeking a career in the industry and those looking for new jobs, it is the only site in the wellness sector that focuses on recruitment and retention of therapists within the field overall.

“The backbone of Massage Envy is our therapists. Without their skills and talent we would have no service to provide,” stated CG Funk, vice-president industry relations and product development for Massage Envy.  “We felt that a central location online was needed where people could learn about careers in massage therapy and where seasoned therapists could find ways to learn and expand.  This site will address both those needs.”

Visitors to the site can find information on massage schools, certification and licensing requirements, as well as tips for a successful career. They can also take a quiz to determine how well-suited they are for the role of massage therapist.

Those already working in the industry can find best practices from fellow professionals, resources for continuing education, the latest research on massage and information on professional associations.  What’s more, the new website serves as a resource where guests looking for jobs can sign up for notifications of positions as therapists, clinic administrators or sales associates at Massage Envy clinics in their areas.

Massage therapy is a multi-billion industry, according to statistics from the American Massage Therapy Association.  Massage Envy, with more 500 open and operating clinics, currently employs more than 10,000 therapists across the country, providing a great opportunity for licensed therapists to enjoy steady, secure work.
