Scottsdale, Ariz. (March 10, 2010) – Massage Envy, the nation’s largest massage therapy provider, has announced it is now the official Guinness World Record holder for the most people being massaged simultaneously in one location. The history-making event took place Oct. 25, 2009, in Rosslyn, Virginia, at the annual Marine Corps Marathon where therapists provided 167 grateful runners with massages at the same time. In total, more than 5,000 massages were performed the day of the event.

Last year marks the first year Massage Envy attempted to break the world record, which was previously set in London, England in 2007 with 154 people being massaged at the same time.
