Massage Envy is partnering with the Arthritis Foundation for its annual Healing Hands for Arthritis event, on Sept. 19 this year.

Twenty-seven million individuals age 25 and older have osteoarthritis, according to the American College of Rheumatology, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that either osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis affect 50 million Americans and is the leading cause of disability nationwide.

Several research studies have indicated that massage therapy relieves symptoms of osteoarthritis.

The one-day event will be held at more than 800 Massage Envy locations around the U.S., and $10 from every one-hour massage and facial, along with 10 percent of all Murad® skincare product sales, will be donated to the Arthritis Foundation.
