A nonprofit massage business that provides healing touch for people facing life-threatening illness was profiled online this week by Northwest Arkansas.

“After facing a life-threatening illness, Joey Gall founded the Healing Hands Mercy Massage Foundation,” the article noted. “Through massage therapy, Gall found comfort while recovering and wanted to share that experience with others.”

The business, Healing Hands Mercy Massage, works with people in hospice and health care facilities.

“Gall says, ‘I did literally get a second chance to live and most people don’t get that and I want to spread that to as many people as possible. Most of the time insurance doesn’t cover massage therapy and we’re just a way for them to have that experience without the expense.'”
