As the company celebrates its 100th open unit by the end of the year, its focus is on the road to 300 and becoming the employer, provider and brand of choice.

Massage Heights Announces 2013 International Franchise Convention, MASSAGE MagazineSan Antonio, TX. Massage Heights, an international franchise membership massage company that helps people elevate the everyday through professional, convenient and affordable custom massage services, will welcome more than 150 strategic partners, vendor partners and team members to its fifth annual convention in Austin, Texas, from Sept. 29 to Oct. 3, 2013. These four days of education and development will be focused on growth through profitability, culture and service excellence.

This is only the second year team members, including retreat directors, regional and lead massage therapists and skin therapists have been invited to attend, and growth in their attendance has more than doubled.

“The goal of this convention is to provide an elevated experience for all attendees and arm them with added knowledge to help them better serve our members, guests and one another within the Massage Heights family. The loyalty, diligence, authenticity and passion that our team members have for what they do is what will help us become the employer, provider and brand of choice in the massage industry, ” said Glenn Franson, president and CEO.

In the spirit of keeping it local Massage Heights has partnered with Austin’s very own author, instructor and Massage Therapy Hall of Fame Alumni, David Lauterstein, to host a six-hour continuing education class on the Experience of Touch for attending regional and lead massage therapist. With the growth of body + face locations to 50 percent of the total system by the end of the year, the company has continued to invest in their team of skin therapists, by offering advanced theory and hands-on training from the world’s leader in skin care products and their partner, dermalogica®.

“Our retreat directors will expand their knowledge of how their role within the business helps drive profitability and member retention as they learn from top business leaders in our industry, and walk away with executable action plans,” said Franson. Strategic partners, who ultimately drive the culture of the brand in their independently owned and operated retreats through building and fostering strong relationships, will help lead peer committees and share best practices on a variety of topics including scheduling, operations and marketing.

The convention will culminate in an awards celebration hosted by the company’s co-founders, Wayne and Shane Evans, and CEO, Glenn Franson, recognizing the achievements of the system’s top performers for their success in a variety of categories including Franchisee of the Year, Lead Therapist of the Year and Developer of the Year.
