MASSAGE Magazine received the first-place award in the category of Best Special Theme issue for a trade or technical publication, presented by the Florida Magazine Association at the association’s annual Charlie Awards ceremony on Aug. 13. The award recognizes general excellence in editorial content and design.

In May of each year MASSAGE Magazine publishes an issue focused on the business of massage therapy. The May 2009 issue won the award, and featured articles including: “Market Your Practice with Seated Massage,” by Ralph Stephens; “Profit with Products,” by Cherie Sohnen-Moe; and “How to Thrive During a Recession,” by Debra Koerner.

MASSAGE Magazine received a Charlie Award for its 2008 Special Business Issue, in the same category.
