MASSAGE Magazine has welcomed Karina Braun, owner of Get In Touch Education and Create Peace Yoga, as its newest blogger on www.MASSAGEmag.com. Braun’s blog, “Yoga for Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers,” premiered Oct. 14, 2011.

“We’re always searching for leaders in the industry to share their experience and expertise with our readers,” said Jennifer Whalen, managing editor of MASSAGE Magazine. “We’ve noticed many massage therapists are becoming yoga teachers, and Karina’s experience of being a massage therapist and yoga teacher will provide an interesting look at these two wonderful industries.”

Braun joins a star list of expert bloggers on MASSAGEmag.com, including John F. Barnes, Erik Dalton, Suzanne Scurlock-Durana, Laura Allen, Ann Catlin, Irene Smith, Karen Ball, Cliff Smith, Tad Wanveer, Mary Kathleen Rose, Felicia Brown, Maria G. Turchi, Kelly Robbins, Paul Lewis, Bob McAtee, Jane Irving, Lauriann Greene and Rick Goggins.

Braun has been in the massage therapy and yoga fields for 15 years. She attended the University of North Texas for her undergraduate studies and then went to Hands on School of Massage in Garland, Texas, in 1997. She began her career by owning a small hair salon and spa in Texas. Later, she decided to study reiki and began teaching others how to utilize reiki in order to balance the energetic body of their clients.

Braun also received Yoga Instructor Certification in 2001 from Yogamotion. In 2002, she relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, and taught at Dahan Institute of Massage Studies, before working at a world-renowned spa on the strip.

In addition, Braun also authored Creating Peace with Your Hands, which was compiled from many hours of hands-on practical knowledge and a great deal of research on injury and prevention. She is a massage educator and yoga instructor in Nevada.
