MASSAGE Magazine Welcomes 'Retail Mastery' as Newest Blog on MASSAGEmag.com, MASSAGE MagazineMASSAGE Magazine has welcomed Cherie Sohnen-Moe and Lynda Solien-Wolfe, founders of Retail Mastery (www.retailmastery.biz), an educational resource that provides information on retail to massage therapists, as its newest bloggers on www.MASSAGEmag.com. Their blog, “Retail Mastery,” premiered Nov. 2, 2011.

Solien-Wolfe is the director of clinical education and research–massage and spa for Performance Health, the makers of Biofreeze. She is a licensed massage therapist and a facial specialist in the state of Florida. She has a private massage therapy practice in Merritt Island, Florida, which has been in the same location since 1994. Solien-Wolfe started retailing products in her practice right out of massage school when she opened her practice 17 years ago. She is also the president of the Solwolfe Resource Group Inc., a business-development consultancy specializing in the massage, spa and integrated health care markets.

Solien-Wolfe teaches classes and workshops on marketing, business and retailing all over the country. Her favorite hobby is to travel to spas and wellness centers around the world. She is past chairman of the Florida Board of Massage Therapy and serves on the editorial advisory board for MASSAGE Magazine.

Sohnen-Moe is an author, business coach and international workshop leader. She has been in business since 1978. She was in private practice for many years as a massage and holistic health practitioner before shifting her focus to education and coaching. Her background is diverse. When she did massage, she was a sole practitioner. In her coaching/consulting practice, she has worked with individual therapists to small wellness centers to day spas with multiple locations, to retail boutiques.

She has served as a faculty member at the Desert Institute of Healing Arts and the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and was an adjunct professor at Clayton College of Natural Health (CCNH). Sohnen-Moe has written hundreds of articles, and is author of the books, Business Mastery, Present Yourself Powerfully and The Art of Teaching. She is the co-author of The Ethics of Touch, a contributing author of Teaching Massage: Fundamental Principles in Adult Education for Massage Program Instructors, and was interviewed for a chapter of SAND TO SKY: Conversations with Teachers of Asian Medicine.
