There are more than 1.5 million orphaned children in Vietnam, according to the charitable organization Unicef. Liddle Kidz Foundation is an organization that coordinates trips to bring massage therapists to orphaned children around the world.
The group has announced its 2012 travel dates to Vietnam—Nov. 30 to Dec. 17—and its need for massage therapist volunteers.
Massage therapists are needed to provide massage and nurturing touch for infants and children, some of which have special health care needs.
“By joining our team, you will provide essential support to the caregivers and staff by assisting in sharing nurturing touch in their daily activities at the orphanages and by offering a positive role model for the children,” a press release reads. “You will have the opportunity to provide hands-on massage to infants and children in these settings, as well as teach staff and caregivers to continue the same after our visit.”
